CULTIVATION NOTES

ROOT ROT
Occurs in sage, rosemary, thyme and lavender due to overwatering, or not planted in a well draining soil.

MULCHING
In summer mulching helps keep cooler. In winter it protects roots from freezing.

FERTILIZING
Over fertilizing will give you lush growth at the expense of flavor. Use fish emulsion and seaweed l tablespoon to l gallon of water twice a month to get your plants started.

SOIL
A neutral to slightly alkaline soil is preferable.

25% sand
25% compost
50% sandyloam
in raised beds, loose well drained soil, Work in plenty of organic matter, aged compost, stable matter and add bonemeal for strong root growth.
