MAKE-YOUR-OWN-CURRY
1/4 cup coriander seed
1 tsp. whole black pepper
1/4 cup ground tumeric
1 tsp. ground ginger
4 in. stick cinnamon, broken
5 whole cloves
1 tbsp. cumin seed
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp. cardamon pods, shelled (about 1 tsp. seed)
Place all ingredients in shallow baking pan.
Bake at 200 degrees for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place
mixture in blender container. Cover, blend until well ground.
Package in 1/4 cup portions. Makes 3/4 cups.
